How Mixfreaks Started

A long time ago, somewhere back in 1998, a number of Mixfreaks gathered together in the usenet group: nl.muziek. The BabySoft Megamix mailing list was created, running on a 486DX2 computer. Over the years, the Mixfreaks community grew, leading to the formation of Mixfreaks.org and mixfreaks.nl. The history of mixing has been written, and we continue to gather and share our love for mixing and remixes.

More and more, we’ve seen how music and mixes have influenced communities, with the rise of Mixfreaks as a thriving part of the DJ and music culture. In 2024, we celebrate our ongoing journey.
